Stronger Together Family Recovery Partnership

Stronger Together is a Family Recovery Partnership founded in July of 2022. This initiative is a passion project aimed at serving families who struggle with a loved one who uses substances. We restore hope to families who feel hopeless. We encourage compassion for those who are tired of being angry and hurt. We teach skills to families who feel helpless.

If you're feeling frustrated, angry, confused, or scared about your loved one's drinking or substance use, you've found a sanctuary of hope. Your loved one's recovery needs compassion and connection as a family partnership. Addiction often thrives on seclusion and isolation. Together, we will help you rebuild your connection.

Our Programs

SMART Family & Friends

SMART Family & Friends is a secular mutual support program designed for family and friends of individuals with addictive behaviors. It is built on CRAFT tools, which research shows leads to significantly higher rates of treatment entry compared to Al-Anon or Johnson Intervention. Our trained facilitators address specific issues using evidence-based motivational and cognitive-behavioral approaches.

Invitation to Change (ITC)

Developed by CMC: Foundation for Change, the Invitation to Change Approach draws from CRAFT, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. This program gives loved ones a new understanding of substance use. With a skills-oriented and compassionate outlook, it reduces shame and stigma while providing real tools for growth and change.

Direct Family Support

We provide direct assistance to family members navigating the challenges of a loved one's addictive behavior. Through Zoom, email, text, or telephone, we're here for you every step of the way. There is hope, and we will help you find it.

Why Stronger Together

We're not clinicians treating your loved one; we're peers who understand what you're carrying. Our founder built this organization out of firsthand experience with the toll addiction takes on families. Every program here is designed for the person standing beside someone in recovery, not just the person in it.

Building Connections

In our journey together, we focus on rebuilding connections. It’s essential to foster a supportive environment where every family member feels valued and heard. By engaging in open conversations, we can break down the walls that addiction builds. This is a crucial step toward healing.

The Importance of Compassion

Compassion is at the heart of our approach. We understand that addiction affects everyone in the family. It can lead to feelings of anger, sadness, and confusion. By practicing compassion, we can create a safe space for healing. This allows families to express their feelings without fear of judgment.

Skills for Recovery

We believe in equipping families with the necessary skills to navigate recovery. Our programs teach practical strategies that can be applied in everyday situations. These skills help families communicate better and support their loved ones effectively.

Finding Hope Together

Hope is a powerful force. It can inspire change and motivate families to keep moving forward. At Stronger Together, we help families find that hope. We guide them in recognizing their strengths and the potential for healing.
